Clean, NR' Description Up for auction is my vintage (1983 purchased) Toshiba V-S36 Beta hi-fi Video Cassette Recorder in great shape, complete with wireless remote, original Owner's Manual, and original Quick Reference Card. It is very clean, but there are a few scratches, and the plastic door to the left compartment is long gone as is the plastic door to the right smaller set-up compartment.  Over the course of its life it was serviced two times, and it works very well. I have not run the tuner portion in a few years, and I cannot test it out because I do not have cable or an external antenna.  However, it used to run flawlessly, so I believe the tuner still works fine.  I have not programmed it in years for recording, but when last used in the early 1990's, it worked fine. All the testable functions work well. Our home has no pets and we do not smoke. This machine has, among many other features, Beta Hi-Fi Stereo, a 4 head system, 6 motors, a Synthesizer Auto Tuning System, Audio Dubbing, electronic counter and elapsed timer display, and a frequency range of 20Hz ~ 20 KHz. It has a Dynamic Range greater than 80dB. Please see two photos below. The VCR itself weighs  27 pounds.
