Description
Sony VPH-G70Q Multiscan Projector - in excellent condition! I bought this projector in 2001 and have been using it in my home theater until I finally bought an expensive Sony G90 to replace it. This G70 is in excellent condition with 8849 hours on the chassis and red tube. I replaced the green and blue tubes with new Sony tubes when I bought the projector with 3500 hours on it. The picture is excellent and the tubes are still very usuable. As savvy buyers know, the tube condition is critical to the picture quality. So don’t fall for a similar “good deal” unless you know the condition of the tubes. For those of you who are new at this, you can’t tell much about the condition of the tubes with the lenses still on. Just seeing a picture with the projector on and the tubes lit up won’t tell you a thing about their true condition. That’s why I’m including lots of information and closeup photos in the linked website. See lots of closeup photos by clicking here Those closeup photos are the key to understanding what you will be buying in a good CRT projector. If you get a good one with good tubes, you can hang it, set it up, and immediately start enjoying an amazing home theater experience. My wife and I love to have friends, neighbors, and relatives over to watch movies in high definition on a 108” screen. It is quite a move up from the “little” 58” plasma TVs they are used to. As described on the website linked above, this projector is in great condition. Other than the normal wear on the tubes, electronically it is perfect. Please see the detailed photos on the website. A friend shipped his G70 via Pilot Air for only about $250 from New York to Seattle. It arrived in perfect condition. But it weighs about 250 pounds, so you would need to have a truck to pick it up. I’m willing to get it to the Seattle airport or another carrier of your choice, but you will be responsible for the shipping from there. Please look over the linked website carefully, then email me for any questions you may have. My email address is on the closeup photo link above.
