Has a built in stereo TV tuner.Fast forward, rewind and the counter all work fine. I have played back a prerecorded tape and it works well and sounds great. I have not tested it as a recorder as I do not have a blank tape. So keep that in mind.But everything else works so it would be a good assumption that it should record fine.Cosmetically it is in top shape with hardly a mark on it. As with all CD players and tape decks, sold strictly on an as is basis with no implied warranty (and keep in mind that it is being sold with the recording capability untested).Local pickup is fine.
