Front loading with an attractive design and simple controls layout. Unique in that it was manufactured in four colors, of which only the silver is well known. Features include: 3-day 1-event timer 5 second memory backup Push-button express tuning Tape direction indicator BetaScan and BetaSkipScan Freeze-frame pause Wired remote Auto rewind The SL-2300 can record and play regular Beta in Beta II and Beta III. It can also play tapes recorded in regular Beta BI. Tapes recorded in regular Betahi-fi will play correctly in the SL-2300 as well as those recorded in monaural. This unit has been fully tested and is in excellent working order. It came directly out of our neighbor's home, where it was kept in the stereo rack since new. Not "attic stored." We have personally tested this unit and it has been in to our local TV/VCR repair shop for a checkup. We've played a full two hour tape on it, transferred one to our DVD recorder, and it worked flawlessly. Everything appears to be in excellent condition. Remote is included!
