Description
betahfp100 Sony Beta II&III Betamax SL-HFR30 Hi-Fi Ready VCR In Good Condition All Functions in Very Good Working Condition I played and recorded Beta I and II tapes. The VCR worked with out hesitation. I found the VCR working as it should. There is no remote with the unit. The exterior looks good with some signs of use. There are no notable flaws. I tried to find information on this VCR and found the following quote: "When Sony introduced Beta Hi-Fi stereo to the consumer market, broadcasting in stereo was possible at the time. No universal standard had been arrived upon in the US. So Sony introduced "BetaHi-Fi Ready" machines that were stereo capable. Each had a special design receptacle in the back that could accept a plug from a special accessory (manufactured only by Sony) that would turn it into a Hi-Fi stereo recorder. This made it possible to step into Beta now, and then add stereo later. Two accessory units were made. First was the HFP-100 Hi-Fi adapter, it didn't decode stereo broadcasting. Later came the HFP-200, it was a stereo broadcast receiver. One of the nicest BetaHi-Fi ready models to come out during this time of stereo limbo was the SL-HFR30. It was a well built unit with easy to use controls." This for transferring those old beta tapes to a more up to day format. Shipping is additional. Please use the shipping calculator at the bottom of this auction for shipping cost. On Aug-20-08 at 01:54:56 PDT, seller added the following information:SquareTrade © AP6.0
