I am not an electronics geek but will do my best to describe it. I do know this model doesn't require you to get up and flip the disc over for to view side B.  It works great and the movies are awesome when played on it. The only thing wrong with it is the edit control panel door doesn't want to stay in.  Not sure how to fix it but I guess if you know about Electronics you might know how to fix it.
